Final Results: Best 2009 Disney Movies
Our results are in! For the last 2 years we’ve been polling our visitors to let you decide (because your so good at it) which Disney movie was the best each year. We’ve let the poll run on our homepage for the last 60 days and so we have closed the polls and the results are final.
The 2007 Best Disney Movie went to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End with 22% of the vote. In 2008 Best Disney Movie went to Pixar’s WALL-E.
For 2009 the winner, convincingly, was Pixars Up. Here is the full results:

- Disney’s Princess and the Frog – 20% – 893 votes
- Hannah Montana: The Movie – 10% – 454 votes
- Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie – 7% – 303 votes
- Princess Protection Program – 6% – 246 votes
- Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure – 4% – 183 votes
- Ponyo – 4% – 176 votes
- G-Force – 4% – 161 votes
- Race to Witch Mountain – 3% – 139 votes
- A Christmas Carol – 3% – 139 votes
- Old Dogs – 2% – 110 votes
- Santa Buddies – 1% – 47 votes
- Dadnapped – 1% – 37 votes
- Hatching Pete – 1% – 37 votes
- Space Buddies – 1% – 29 votes
- Tiger and Pooh: A Musical Too – 1% – 27 votes
I think it’s surprising that # 4 and # 5 were Disney Channel movies and you # 3 originated from a Disney Channel show. The biggest surprise is how badly A Christmas Carol did. Ponyo received 37 more votes despite only doing $15 million in U.S. theatres compared to $137 million from A Christmas Carol.
