Jonas L.A. (initially titled Jonas) was a Disney Channel Original Series starring brothers Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers Band.
The producers of the series attempted to draw comparisons to earlier bands with huge teenage followings, such as The Beatles and The Monkees of the mid-1960's. The premise of the series had the band working as government secret agents, using the band as a cover. Originally placed in the Saturday night prime-time block, it was switched to Sunday night after being soundly beaten by Nickleodeon's iCarly in the ratings.
Picked up for a second season, producers also announced the name change to Jonas L.A. to correspond with the program's main setting having changed to Los Angeles. Less than a month after the second season concluded, Disney announced on November 8, 2010 that Jonas L.A. had been cancelled.
