Upscale Woodlands Academy is Dylan Schoenfield's domain, and the teen princess has everything that an adolescent diva could want; the coolest friends, the cutest boyfriend, and a new Sergio Sanchez bag that is the envy of the other girls. Her life changes however when she accidentally drops the coveted bag into a fountain and is rescued by the quintessential geek, aspiring film-maker Josh Rosen.
As repayment, Josh insists on Dylan being the star of his latest project, a documentary chronicling that unique American phenomenon, high school. Unhappy that his girlfriend is now spending an excessive amount of time with a geek, Dylan's A-list boyfriend dumps her, and her once-lofty social status dissolves.
Geek Charming, although predictable, imparts valuable lessons about dealing with the frequently dog-eat-dog world of modern high school and learning to overcome, and even celebrate, differences among students.
