Adapted from Good Luck Charlie, a Disney Channel Original series, Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas is a holiday film which follows the Duncan family as they travel from Denver to Palm Springs to visit their grandparents. Their best-laid plans soon begin to unravel however, when Teddy, the oldest daughter, decides to join her best friend on a Florida spring break. Her mother, Amy, joins her, unwilling to allow her to travel alone.
With the remainder of the family in Palm Springs, dealing with sunburn, a mistrusting mother-in-law and a video-game addicted grandfather, Amy and Teddy find themselves stranded in Las Vegas, their luggage missing, and are forced to perform Christmas song-and-dance routines to earn money for food. Eventually, the Palm Springs contingent makes their way to rescue the pair, and, after becoming involved in, and winning, a paintball match, the family is finally reunited.
Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas, is the Disney Channel's first Christmas-themed original film in nearly a decade.
