Jim and Cindy Green, desperately wanting a child but unable to conceive, dream up their "ideal offspring" in a fit of whimsy and bury their wishes in the backyard. To their great surprise, the next morning, a 10-year old boy materializes on their doorstep. This unlikely premise is the setting for Walt Disney Pictures' production, The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
Dealing with sudden parenthood thrust upon them, the Green's adventures in adapting to this "gift" take on unforeseen aspects as they slowly begin to realize that Timothy is anything but a "normal" child.
Adapted from a story idea by producer Ahmet Zappa, Timothy Green is directed by Peter Hedges, who's no stranger to films featuring unorthodox children, having written the novel, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, as well as the screenplay for the cinematic version.
Timothy Green's cast includes Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton as the parents, with C.J. Adams especially winning and effective in the role of Timothy.
