Based on the popular Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb TV series, the Disney Channel Original Movie, Across the 2nd Dimension is the fourth animated production exclusively for the Disney Channel.
The discovery by Phineas and Ferb that Perry, their pet platypus, is in reality a secret agent, leads to an action-filled, comedic romp with the gang going off on an adventure into a parallel universe. They encounter evil opposites of characters familiar to fans of the TV series, including a monstrous version of Dr. Doofenshmirtz who has built and controls an army of "no-good" robots and is intent on world domination.
Vincent Martella and Thomas Sangster, as in the TV series, provide voices for the heroes. Across the 2nd Dimension's production team is headed by Sean Bailey, notable for the film Tron: The Legacy.
Across the 2nd Dimension introduces several new musical numbers by composer Danny Jacob, who's provided the scores for several Disney productions as well as many other children's programs and soundtracks during the last decade.
