A Disney movie that follows up on the success of the smash teen hit High School Musical is Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure. Starring Ashley Tisdale as an aspiring dancer attempting to land a role in a Broadway play, the film goes behind the scenes of Broadway as Sharpay experiences the roller-coaster ride of big-time performing arts.
Sharpay performs an impromptu dance routine at a country club in the hopes of impressing a Broadway producer, only to have her dog, Boi, offered a role instead. After convincing her parents to allow her to move to New York with Boi, Sharpay discovers that the "Great White Way" is all about competition and "who-you-know." But, with perseverance and the assistance of some new-found friends, she and Boi land starring roles as well as discovering love.
Directed by veteran actor-director Michael Lembeck, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure also features such "up-and-coming" performers as Austin Butler, Bradley Steven Perry and Lauren Collins.
