Underdog Movie Reviews

[Review this film]

"8 out of 10. I was excited to see the movie adaptation of one of my favorite childhood cartoons...this Disney movie did not disappoint...although predictable...it was very entertaining, heartwarming and left me wanting more! Jim Belushi was great as always...and seeing a real life Beagle as Underdog was awesome...made us wonder what our two Jack Russells would say if they could talk. A definite must-see for families, dog-lovers and Underdog fans!!!" --Michelle

"0 out of 10. This is the worst movie I've seen that was released by Disney. I know that Walt Disney Pictures can do better movies. I think that this was a great waste of time and money." --Aaron

"5 out of 10. Disney movies have been my favorites since I was a little girl, and now they are my 9 year old little girl's favorites. We looked forward to Underdog and were both disappointed, but for different reasons. I like a decent storyline even if it is silly or sappy (which it had) and excellent acting (loved the dog and the dad; the son and other supporting actors were only mediocre; the bad guys stunk, but I think it was the script and editing, not the acting that was such a turnoff). And a flow to the scenes...This movie seemed thrown together without much attention to detail. It had the potential to be a Disney classic in the tradition of That Darn Cat, Shaggy Dog, 101 Dalmations and 102 Dalmations, etc... I'm looking up the names of the writers, editors, casting, directors and producers that failed in giving us a quality Disney movie. My daughter loved Underdog, talks about him and had her imagination stirred, which is always wonderful. But she does not want this movie for her collection and did not want to see it again when the opportunity arose. That says a lot! She does want an Underdog of her own.... " --Cathryn

"10 out of 10. I loved this movie!" --Jen
